Mrs. Deborah Odegaard-Carpenter started her education career in 1992, as the English as a Second Language teacher at Lace Elementary School in Darien, Illinois. She came to District 202’s Grand Prairie Elementary School in 1993 teaching sixth grade math, science, and social studies.
She moved to Timber Ridge Middle School in 1996 to teach 6th grade math, science and social studies, and then 7th and 8th grade social studies and language arts in 1998. From there, she went back to Grand Prairie as their Differentiation Specialist.
Odegaard-Carpenter has worked at Drauden Point Middle School since 2002, first as a Differentiation Specialist and then as an 8th grade language arts teacher.
