Panther Reconnect Evening
Our focus will be to reconnect Drauden Point with the community, ourselves, educationally, emotionally and health wise.

DPMS will be hosting its annual Veteran’s Day assembly honoring our United States Veterans. See the attached flyer for more information regarding the invitation.
Drauden Point Middle School is delighted to welcome award-winning author, Deborah Heiligman on Monday, October 21st at 9:30 in the LRC. Ms. Heiligman will talk with students about her new book, Torpedoed. Any student may attend. Sign up in the LRC or let your ELA teacher know you want to attend. Her books are now available in the LRC for purchase. They are $19.99 and will be autographed. Those students buying a book will stay for an extended session for a meet and greet and reception. Get your book today.
DRAMA CLUB CAST: Make sure all fees and forms are turned in to Mrs. McCammon by this Friday. There are audition help sessions today and Thursday after school until 3:30 pm inthe ban droom. Thisis when you will get help learning the audition music. The sign up sheet is outside the band room..
CLUB FUSE: Meeting Wednesday, October 16th in the cafeteria until 4:00 pm.
It is time for the 8th annual PUMPKIN DECORATING Contest. See the attached flyers or get a copy in the LRC.
All 7th and 8th grade students interested in trying out for cheerleading: cheer clinics and tryouts begin on Tuesday, October 15th. Clinics will continue Wednesday, October 16th immediately after school until 5:30 PM. Final tryouts for those on the list will be Tuesday, October 22nd. You must have a current physical on file in order to come to clinics and tryouts. Meet in the small gym on Tuesday, October 15th after school. See Mrs. Dziuda in room 125 with any questions.
Any 7th or 8th grade boy who is interested in trying out for boys basketball: you must have a current physical and concussion form on file here at school in order to try out. If you are not sure if you have both of these turned in or if they are current, please see Ms. Hall and check with her. You will not be able to try out if you do not have a current physical or the concussion form turned in. Tryouts will begin Tuesday, October 15th, after school.
